Sadie King will move to win Caleb Miligan's affection in the next episode of Emmerdale. The character, played by Patsy Kensit, intends to win the depot owner over despite her recent deceptions. Viewers will see her efforts to secure Caleb's trust as she pursues a long-game strategy.
Sadie previously worked as a spy for Joe Tate. Tate tasked her with watching Caleb and hurting him because of his role in Dawn's death. During this period, Sadie manipulated the couple. She convinced Ruby that Caleb was controlling her while telling Caleb that Ruby was an alcoholic. These lies pushed Caleb to the breaking point. He decided to end his marriage and slept with Sadie.
Sadie later claimed she had developed feelings for Caleb. She told Joe that she was ending their deal and insisted she had not slept with Caleb. Joe suspected she was lying. He confronted Caleb and revealed Sadie's role as his spy. Caleb admitted to the liaison during the confrontation. When Caleb asked Sadie about her alliance with Joe, she promised she would not tell anyone about their night together. She admitted she was falling for him.
In the episode airing Thursday, November 5, Sadie will test the limits of her new relationship with Caleb. She aims to keep him away from his wife Ruby. The story will show how far she is willing to go to get what she wants. Her assurances that she is no longer working for Joe will be put to the test.
Other plotlines will unfold at the village cafe. Nicola King will struggle with insomnia after Jimmy left. She will throw out her customers in frustration. Kev will offer her support. He suggests a change of scenery and offers his bed. Nicola still cannot sleep and sees Kev snoring on the sofa. She lies down on the floor beside him.
At the Wishing Well, Kammy will discover a wreath of dead flowers. The flowers are addressed to Belle. Kammy fears the gift is connected to Tom King's upcoming release from prison. The character will worry about what the wreath signifies for Belle and Tom's return.
The new episode of Emmerdale airs at 8pm on ITV1 on Thursday, November 5. It will also be available to stream from 7am on ITVX and YouTube. The broadcast continues the season's focus on the complex relationships within the village community.
