Emmerdale spoilers reveal Gabby Thomas helped Joe Tate kidnap Baby Tate

The mystery behind Baby Tate’s kidnapping was solved in the October 29 episode of Emmerdale.

Joe Tate, played by Ned Porteous, did not act alone. He recruited Gabby Thomas, played by Rosie Bentham, to assist in a scheme designed to get one over on Graham Foster and Kim Tate.

The episode revealed that Joe manipulated Gabby by exploiting her guilt over the accident that killed Dawn and Jimmy. When the truth emerged, Gabby apologized to Joe. Joe showed no regret and bragged about how easily he used her feelings against her.

The next episode airs on Friday, October 30. Sadie King, played by Patsy Kensit, continues her efforts to split up Caleb and Ruby Miligan on Joe’s instructions. She plans to convince Ruby that Caleb is controlling.

Sadie grows frustrated by Ruby’s determination to stay sober. She sneaks away and swaps her drink with Ruby’s, then continues to spike Ruby’s beverage until the younger woman is drunk. The situation escalates in the pub when Caleb arrives to see Ruby collapse on top of Ross Barton, played by Michael Parr. Sadie insinuates that something is happening between Ruby and Ross. Ruby later confronts Sadie about the lies.

Other storylines advance during the week. Marlon Dingle, played by Mark Charnock, is offered an opportunity he cannot refuse, which causes a rift between Robert Sugden and Charity Dingle. Belle faces consequences at work after sharing her fears about a client’s behavior with his wife, unaware that a bouquet of flowers is being delivered to her. Nicola King, played by Nicola Wheeler, continues to struggle with grief while Kev Barton, played by Chris Coghill, steps in to help and shows a more vulnerable side.

The show’s current arc focuses on Joe’s lack of interest in raising his child, while Graham Foster suspects Joe may change his mind. The upcoming episodes will test whether Ruby ends her relationship with Sadie and how the pub incident affects her marriage.
