13 players. That is the number of athletes Bucks County readers are willing to send out the door before the NFL trade deadline next Tuesday. In a poll conducted by the Philadelphia Inquirer, local fans reviewed 16 roster members and voted to trade all but three. The results reflect a fan base that has grown frustrated after a sixth consecutive loss to the Washington Commanders.

The Eagles currently sit at the bottom of the NFC East. The voting took place after the team’s 38-21 defeat on Monday Night Football against the Dallas Cowboys. That loss occurred just under two weeks before the 4 p.m. Tuesday trade deadline. The team has now lost six straight games. This streak has led to calls from writers and former players for a major reset.

Marcus Hayes, a local writer, argued that the team should sell its assets and fire offensive coordinator Sean Mannion. Jeff McLane questioned whether owner Jeffrey Lurie should move on from head coach Nick Sirianni to restart a successful run. Former players have also suggested it is time to pack it in. The fan vote aligns closely with these sentiments.

The most popular trades involved players who have seen limited action this season. Linebacker A.J. Epenesa, who has recorded six-plus sacks in his three most recent seasons, played in only 17% of defensive snaps for the Eagles. 85% of fans voted to trade him. Cornerback Jonathan Jones, a licensed pilot with two Super Bowl rings, played in just 12% of defensive snaps. 84% of readers wanted him gone.

Cornerback Riq Woolen, a regular starter, also drew an 84% vote for a trade. He holds a 62.5 grade from Pro Football Focus, ranking him 50th among qualified corners. Wide receiver Hollywood Brown, who has four catches for 47 yards on seven targets in the last two games, was marked for trade by 82% of voters. These high percentages indicate a desire for immediate roster changes.

The poll identified three players who fans want to keep. Running back Saquon Barkley was the first, with 59% of voters choosing to save him. ESPN reported over the weekend that the team plans to keep the veteran for the rest of the season. Barkley is signed for two more years and said after the Commanders loss that he plans on staying.

Linebacker Zack Baun received the strongest support in the poll, with 75% of fans voting to keep him. Baun is a team captain and a key member of the squad that won Super Bowl LIX. Offensive tackle Fred Johnson, also a Super Bowl LIX member, was the third player spared. He received a 58% save rate. Fans appear willing to trade other starters from that championship team, including Landon Dickerson and Dallas Goedert.

The trade deadline is set for 4 p.m. Tuesday. The Eagles have one more division game scheduled before that time. If the fan vote were to be fully executed, the team would trade 13 of the 16 players reviewed. The remaining roster would be significantly smaller, leaving the front office to fill multiple gaps quickly.

General Manager Howie Roseman has not yet announced specific moves. The team is likely out of contention for the postseason. The poll results provide a clear signal of what local fans want, even if the front office may look at different factors such as contract value and cap space.
