Bristol City manager Michael Skubala said Thursday that Lorent Tolaj will be assessed before Saturday's match at Bolton Wanderers, adding that Rob Dickie has returned to training and Elijah Adebayo remains sidelined with a quad strain.

Tolaj took a blow to his hip during Saturday's 0-0 draw at Stoke City. Skubala said the striker has a contusion on his hip and missed training this week. "He got a big whack on Saturday," Skubala said. "He's got a late fitness test for this Saturday. It's nothing long-term, but he's got a contusion on his hip." Skubala said Tolaj was struck by Stoke goalkeeper Viktor Johansson, adding, "He got whacked by the keeper, so it's a massive bruise." Skubala said a decision on Tolaj will come before kickoff.

Tolaj, 24, returned to the matchday squad at Stoke after sitting out Bristol City's previous three games. He replaced Elijah Adebayo in that squad. Adebayo left the pitch against Sheffield United with a quad strain. Skubala said the scan showed a strain and that the forward will be unavailable for the next two games. "He's got a quad strain," Skubala said. "We thought he might recover quite quickly, but he's going to need a bit more time." Adebayo could miss matches through the November international break.

Rob Dickie has been out for five weeks. Skubala said Dickie trained with the team Thursday for the first time since the injury and that Bristol City will assess his availability for Saturday. Dickie's season had been thought at risk in September. Bristol City's other players are available, including Luke McNally. "Luke McNally is obviously good, which is great for us, because he keeps getting through game after game," Skubala said. "The rest of the squad's looking good and healthy."

Bristol City travels to the Toughsheet Community Stadium to face Bolton Wanderers on Saturday afternoon. Bolton sits 18th in the Championship after losing to Middlesbrough. Bristol City is four places above Bolton with one point more through 12 games, a margin built by the draw at Stoke. The draw at Stoke extended Bristol City's winless run and prevented a third consecutive defeat.

After Bolton, Bristol City hosts Wolverhampton Wanderers and Norwich City at Ashton Gate before the November break. The team then returns to the road, starting with a match against Middlesbrough at the Riverside Stadium.
