Burger King is launching its first seasonal Christmas menu in more than ten years. The new lineup begins on November 3 and includes several limited time items at participating restaurants across the country.
The centerpiece of the menu is the Ultimate Camembert Wagyu. This burger upgrades the original Wagyu, which debuted in March and carried the endorsement of chef Gordon Ramsay. The festive version contains a flame grilled patty made from 100 percent British wagyu beef. It is topped with a breaded camembert patty, tomato cranberry ketchup, truffle black pepper mayo, and fresh rocket. These ingredients are stacked inside a soft brioche bun.
The original Wagyu burger also returns for the holiday season. It features a flame grilled wagyu patty with sweet caramelized onions, pink pickled onions, crispy onions, pepper rocket, and caramelized onion mayo. This item is served in a soft, seeded brioche bun.
Customers can also order a Festive Whopper and a Festive Plant based Whopper, both of which include tomato cranberry ketchup. These two specific items will only be available for home delivery. Sides include five Golden Onion Rings. The meal is completed with a slice of Chocolate Orange Cheesecake.
The items will be available at participating restaurants nationwide, through the Burger King app, and via delivery platforms starting November 3. The company has not yet announced when the festive menu will end.
Metro video producer Jed Bradley tried the new Ultimate Camembert Wagyu before its public release. He noted that the packaging unfurls like a spring rose, which might make the premium price feel justified. Bradley described the camembert patty as more bready than cheesy. He called the burger a fun and tasty festive treat but said it would not make him switch from his usual double Whopper with cheese.
Lifestyle editor Kristina Bealand praised the Chocolate Orange Cheesecake. She stated that if Christmas is not complete without chocolate orange, this is the right treat. Bealand said the flavor is unmistakable and the biscuit base has the right amount of crunch. She noted that the top layer has a texture that is a little bit jelly like, but the taste is great if one can get past that.
Other fast food chains have also announced their seasonal offerings. KFC unveiled a menu featuring the Gravymas Burger, a festive twist on the Gravy Burger last sold in 2021. This item includes a crispy Original Recipe Fillet, a hash brown, melted cheese, and sage and onion seasoning. KFC also offers Festive Loaded Fries with Popcorn Chicken, gravy mayo, and sage and onion seasoning. Greggs has brought back its Festive Bake. McDonald’s has not yet announced its seasonal specials, though it recently added Chicken McWings from China to its World Heist drop.
