Grand Theft Auto 6 releases on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S on November 19, marking the most anticipated video game launch of the year. The release follows a quiet period for major titles after September and October featured heavyweights like Wolverine, Gears of War: E-Day, and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4. Industry observers note that GTA 6 casts a large shadow over the rest of November, though at least 58 other games share the same release window to target different audiences.

Nintendo is positioning its biggest Switch 2 title of the year just two weeks before GTA 6 hits shelves. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time lands on November 5. This remake of the 1998 classic aims to replicate the original gameplay style, which Nintendo has said it will not return to in new mainline titles. The release offers a faithful revisit to what is widely considered one of the most influential games ever made.

Blizzard Entertainment will launch World of Warcraft: Forever on November 4 for PC. This is not an expansion but a new rendition of the MMO that runs alongside current and Classic versions. Set during the original game’s first year, the title branches into an alternate continuity. Blizzard has promised three new zones and a new playable race called the Skyborn Elves. Players only need a standard subscription to access all three versions.

Atari and other publishers are using the quieter mid-month window to push specific remasters. Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee Remastered arrives on November 3, coinciding with Godzilla Day. Rebuilt in Unreal Engine 5 by Pipeworks Studios, the update adds online multiplayer and a reworked unlock system. It is the first time PlayStation owners can play the title, which originally launched on GameCube and Xbox. DreamWorks Shrek 2 Remastered follows on November 10, developed by Aspyr.

Indie and mid-sized titles also populate the November schedule. Warhammer Survivors, a Vampire Survivors-style game featuring characters from both Age of Sigmar and Warhammer 40,000, releases on November 10. Developed by Auroch Digital with poncle as a partner, it is the first Warhammer video game to mix these two settings. Sonic Pico Park, a cooperative puzzle platformer from TECOPARK, also releases on November 12, incorporating Sonic mechanics like spin dashes and loop-de-loops.

Other notable releases include Australia Did It: End-Of-The-World Railway Defense Business on November 10, a turn-based strategy and tower defense hybrid from Aesthetician Labs and Rami Ismail. Barbie Rewind, a 17-game retro compilation from Digital Eclipse, arrives on November 12 and includes the first official release of Barbie: Vacation Adventure. Pikmin 4, Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Dandori Academy also drops on November 12, adding 72 timed challenges that will release weekly for over a year.

Analysts predict high engagement for the flagship release, with 1.5 million people in the US planning to take sick days to play GTA 6 immediately upon launch. The game aims for high levels of immersion and realism in both graphics and gameplay. While the PC port remains a topic of discussion, the console versions dominate the current release cycle.
