The collection includes John Carpenter's 1978 slasher Halloween, which is available on BBC iPlayer, Shudder, Pluto TV, and Cultpix. The article notes that while the film is not the first of its kind, it is the most influential and launched the career of Jamie Lee Curtis. The plot centers on a killer wearing a William Shatner mask who targets young girls. House of 1000 Corpses, the directorial debut of Rob Zombie, is also on the list. Starring Sid Haig, Sheri Moon Zombie, and Bill Moseley, the film follows a group of friends who become trapped in the home of the Firefly family after picking up a hitchhiker. Viewers can access this title on Shudder, Plex, and Lionsgate+.

Late Night with the Devil, identified as the best horror film of 2023, is set during a live 1970s talk show broadcast. David Dastmalchian plays host Jack Delroy in a program that descends into supernatural chaos. The film is currently on Shudder. The Blair Witch Project, which reached its 25th anniversary in October 1994, is available on Netflix, Lionsgate+ via Prime Video, and YouTube. The found footage narrative follows three filmmakers in Maryland's Black Hills Forest. Other entries include Creepshow, a Stephen King and George A. Romero collaboration available to rent on Prime Video, Apple TV+, and the Sky Store, and Ginger Snaps, a werewolf story on Plex and Lionsgate+.

The Little Girl Who Lives Down the Lane features a young Jodie Foster and Martin Sheen and is available on Prime Video, Shudder, and MGM+. The Terrifier franchise, including the first two films and All Hallows Eve, is streaming on Shudder, Paramount+, and Plex.
