BCfm Radio won two Gold awards and one Silver at the 2026 Community Radio Awards. The recognition came during the national ceremony held in Birmingham on Saturday, October 24, 2026. This year marked the tenth anniversary of the award program.

The station claimed the Gold for News, Journalism & Factual Storytelling of the Year. The winning entry was the show We Don’t Do That Here. BCfm also took the Gold for Woman Presenter of the Year, an award given to Siva Gold. Additionally, Gold received a Silver for Specialist Music Show of the Year for her program Additions To My Collection.

Siva Gold received two awards in a single evening. She noted that being nominated twice was difficult to believe. She described the experience of winning both the presenter award and the music show award as unreal. Gold said the music show began as a way to share her favorite tracks. She stated that seeing the show recognized alongside her personal award is a moment she will not forget.

Marcus Smith is the Executive Producer of We Don’t Do That Here. He described the Gold win as a huge moment for both BCfm and Ujima Radio. Smith said the award truly belongs to the people in Bristol who trusted the station with their stories. He added that these conversations do not always receive airtime, but the award shows they deserve to be heard.

The show We Don’t Do That Here was produced in partnership with Ujima Radio. The collaboration was central to the project's success. Smith emphasized that the work highlighted stories from across the Bristol area that might otherwise go unheard.

Rebecca Steers, Chair of the Community Radio Awards, commented on the station's achievements. She noted that it is fantastic to recognize people and stations that make a real difference in their communities. Steers said the awards reflect the dedication and creativity shown by BCfm. She also pointed to the impact community radio has across the UK during the program's ten-year history.

The station credited its presenters, producers, and volunteers for the success. BCfm thanked Ujima Radio for its work on the factual storytelling project. The station also expressed gratitude to the Community Radio Awards and the UK Community Radio Network for hosting the ceremony. Listeners were encouraged to tune in to hear the award-winning programs.
