Asda introduced its new festive advertising campaign in Philadelphia and across the UK on Monday, November 3, 2026. The four thirty-second videos focus on high-energy celebrations rather than quiet holiday traditions. The ads feature dancing gingerbread men, a giant pyro-cracker, and a grandad at a rave. They are set to a remix of Martin Garrix’s song Animals.
The campaign marks a shift from the retailer’s previous holiday ads, which typically featured traditional music. This year’s spots begin with familiar scenes like decorating a home or setting a table. These moments quickly turn into louder parties. One clip shows a mother riding a giant pyro-cracker. Another features a person dressed as a giant bauble. The slogan for the series is “All of Christmas at Asda Price. BOOM!”
Asda is promoting specific products in the ads to emphasize value. These items include a seven-foot pre-lit tree priced at £50. The retailer is also featuring matching George Christmas jumpers starting at £10 and Exceptional Prosecco at £7.75. The store aims to show customers that they can enjoy the full holiday experience without high costs.
Tom Hampson, group marketing director at Asda, stated that customers do not want less Christmas, they just want it for less. He said shoppers still want good food, thoughtful gifts, and festive decorations. They do not want the worry of spending more than they have. Hampson noted that the campaign shows families do not have to choose between a great Christmas and great value. He added that Asda is helping families bring the joy they want at the prices they need.
The first two films are available online now. They will air on ITV1 during Emmerdale and on Channel 4 during The Great British Bake Off later this evening. Asda is also running a promotion on its social channels. Seven families can win a £500 voucher to help cover Christmas costs. One winner will be picked each weekend from Friday until December 18.
Shoppers can enter for the voucher by visiting Asda’s Facebook and Instagram pages. The remaining two videos in the campaign will be released in the coming weeks. The ads are part of the retailer’s effort to compete on price during the holiday season. Asda is positioning itself as a one-stop shop for all holiday needs.
