Glen Ellyn residents will vote in the 2026 General Election on Nov. 3.

The ballot includes a race for Illinois governor and multiple contested offices within DuPage County. Voters will choose a new sheriff, as incumbent James Mendrick does not seek a third term.

Democrat Peter Coolidge and Republican Sean Noonan are competing for the sheriff's seat. Mendrick, who lost his bid for the Republican gubernatorial nomination, is stepping down. The primary race was more contentious, involving candidate Eddie Moore and past incidents, but Moore lost to Noonan in the primary.

Three congressional districts are represented in Glen Ellyn. In the 3rd District, Delia Ramsey faces Angel Oakley. The 6th District features a rematch between Conforti and Casten. In the 8th District, Bean and Davis are the candidates.

Contested local races include the County Board presidency, where incumbent Democrat Deb Conroy faces Republican Gary Grasso. Conroy won her four-year term in 2022, becoming the first female chair of the board. County Clerk Jean Kaczmarek defends her seat against Paula Deacon Garcia, while Treasurer Gwen Henry faces Yeena Yoo.

Statewide, Governor JB Pritzker seeks another term against Republican Darren Bailey. Attorney General Kwame Raoul faces Bob Fioretti, Secretary of State Alexi Giannoulias faces Diane Harris, Comptroller Margaret Croke faces Bryan Drew, and Treasurer Michael Frerichs faces Max Solomon. U.S. Senate candidates Juliana Stratton and Don Tracy are also on the ballot.

Voters must be U.S. citizens, at least 18 by Election Day, and have lived in their precinct for 30 days. Online registration closed on Oct. 18. Those who missed that deadline can register in person with two forms of ID, at least one showing a current address. Early voting began on Oct. 19. Additional locations opened on Oct. 21 with expanded hours.

Polls are open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Election Day. Mail-in ballots must be postmarked or dropped off by Nov. 3. The Glen Ellyn drop box is at the Glen Ellyn Civic Center at 535 Duane St. Ballots are collected daily and sent to the DuPage County Clerk's Office.
