Gigi's Pizza has opened a second kitchen in Bristol, securing a six-month residency at the newly opened Super Nature music cafe and record shop on Stokes Croft. The arrangement allows the pizzeria, originally located on Old Market Street, to expand its physical footprint beyond its initial single location. The move marks the first time the restaurant has operated a separate site from its home base in the city center.

Gigi's Pizza opened its first location in November 2024. Founders Rapha and Alberto stated that the business has grown steadily since that launch. They initially expanded by taking on additional space along Old Market Street. The current arrangement at Super Nature represents the next phase of that growth. Super Nature, which opened in October 2026, has hosted Gigi's as a resident kitchen partner. The residency is scheduled to last for six months.

Rapha said the team is grateful for the local response to the business. "When we opened Gigi's, we had high hopes, but we couldn't have imagined quite how much Bristol would get behind us," he said. He described the demand since opening day as "relentless" in a positive sense. The founders have also collaborated with local musicians and charities, which Rapha noted is a core part of the business identity alongside food service.

The menu at the Stokes Croft location differs from the Old Market site. At Super Nature, the kitchen will serve a broader range of comfort food items in addition to pizza. The new menu includes chicken parmesan, large bowls of pasta, and Caesar salads. The pizza offered at this second location features a distinct style from the original shop. It is described as thinner, charred, and crispy, offering a different texture and flavor profile for patrons visiting the music cafe.

Rapha acknowledged that the current hospitality industry presents challenges. He described the sector as difficult but maintained that the work remains rewarding due to the team and the product. He advised customers to support independent restaurants rather than relying on large chains or delivery apps. "Avoid going to chains at all costs, go local and independent," he said. He encouraged diners to make the effort to visit physical locations to support the local economy.

The founders have not prioritized rapid expansion for its own sake. Their stated goal is to maintain food quality and staff satisfaction while creating enjoyable spaces for customers. Plans are in place for future collaborations and events at both the Old Market and Super Nature locations. The team intends to continue operating as an independent business in Bristol for the long term, relying on customer support and staff effort to sustain the operation.
