Newly unsealed federal court records from Tuesday offer a specific account of Raymond "R.C." Horsch's past, as investigators continue to examine his former Philadelphia home. The documents stem from a 2012 federal drug case and include testimony from his then-wife, Amy McHale.

The first key detail involves McHale's statement during a sentencing hearing on June 28, 2012. She credited Horsch with helping her overcome addiction and enrolling at Peirce College. McHale is now one of the women investigators have connected to the Chew Avenue property where Horsch lived until his death in 2025 at age 82.

A second point concerns the charges that led to the 2012 hearing. Horsch pleaded guilty to federal drug and firearms charges. These stemmed from marijuana grown in the basement of his home in Chalfont and two sawed-off shotguns he possessed.

The third element of the unsealed filings indicates that Horsch provided information to federal authorities. He shared details regarding child prostitution, drug trafficking, and fraud investigations. This cooperation occurred after his arrest and before his guilty plea.

The investigation into the Chew Avenue property began earlier this year following the arrest of Horsch's son, Eugene Horsch. Eugene Horsch faced federal drug and weapons charges and attended the 2012 sentencing hearing but did not testify. Authorities are currently reviewing digital files, photographs, and videos recovered from the home. No charges have been filed in the missing women investigation, and no remains have been recovered from the site.
