Bucks County woman shocked by ladies' night
A health visitor describes close encounters with naked dancers during a recent event, while organizers investigate a viral incident at a nearby venue.

Dawn, a 44-year-old health visitor who lives in Bucks County, says she was stunned by the physical closeness of performers at a local “Ladies’ Night” earlier this month. She had planned a quiet evening at home watching Strictly Come Dancing but was convinced by her 38-year-old sister, Vix, to attend a theater-style show instead. Dawn says she expected dancing and acrobatics, but not for male dancers to press naked bodies against her back.
The incident follows a viral video from a similar event held at Banbury FC last month. In that clip, a female audience member was seen performing oral sex on a male dancer. The footage sparked online debate about the boundaries of these all-female events, which are popular across the UK.
John Woodward, who manages the performing group known as the Pleasure Boys, was present at the Banbury FC show. He says the group has lost several bookings since the video went viral. Woodward explains that the dancers often undergo a procedure called “tying” before performing. This keeps blood flow in the penis and makes it feel numb to the dancer during the routine.
Woodward states that the incident at Banbury FC was a “split second” that became a large issue. He says the dancer was tapping the woman's head and she put the penis in her mouth. The dancer has been removed from the troop while an investigation continues. “They’ve made out that the whole show was some big sex-and-orgy type thing,” Woodward says. “It was a three-hour show, with all sorts of choreographed routines, acrobats and fire-breathers.”
Dawn says other women at her show also engaged with the dancers. She notes that respectable women with full-time jobs and families changed their behavior after drinking prosecco. “Some of the women I was with thought nothing of grabbing onto the dancer’s penis when they were in the crowd,” Dawn says. She adds that while she understands the appeal for letting loose, she feels a line is being crossed.
Woodward says the events are intended to be raunchy but not sexual. He compares holding a dancer’s anatomy for a photo to having a parrot on one's shoulder for a picture. “People want to hold the dancer’s penises for photos,” he says. “It’s a bit like going to see a parrot and having a photo with it on your shoulder.”
The manager says the group continues to investigate the specific incident at Banbury FC. He notes that while the behavior is unusual, it happens from time to time due to the excitement of the crowd. “We want to make sure it wasn’t something he’d done before or was going to continue doing,” Woodward says.
