Weatherfield Woman Uncovers Abusive Footage of Late Mother

Christina Boyd will uncover footage this week showing Richie Parkinson mistreating his late wife Rachel, a development that could alter what Lucy knows about her mother's final moments.

Christina (Amy Robbins) is Rachel's biological mother and has kept her distance from Lucy (Anya Dewin), who moved in with Sally and Tim Metcalfe after Rachel's death. Sally previously told Christina that Lucy is too vulnerable to process who Christina really is. In Thursday's October 29 episode, Christina raises concerns about Lucy with George Shuttleworth (Tony Maudsley) before finding Lucy watching old family videos. When Christina looks at the footage, she sees Richie in the background being abusive to Rachel. Christina leaves in a hurry and drops a keyring bearing Rachel's picture. Lucy later arrives at the funeral parlour and asks Christina why she has the keyring.

Richie (Nathan Sussex) apparently killed Rachel earlier this year. Lucy and Richie have not been fully forthcoming about Rachel's final moments.

Tuesday's episode centers on Sally alone at home, where her worry that Mick Michaelis escaped during a prison riot grows. Lisa Connor-Swain (Vicky Myers) visits to reassure her, but Sally's unease continues after a ghostly figure appears outside, prank calls come in, and a power cut darkens Weatherfield. When power returns, Sally sees a figure and strikes it, discovering it is Lucy. Adam Barlow (Sam Robertson) proposes to Alya Nazir (Sair Khan), and she accepts.

There is no episode Wednesday because ITV is covering the Carabao Cup. Weatherfield returns October 29.
