Inside, officers saw a gun on a pool table and a man on the floor. SWAT teams and police drones swept the property before investigators entered. They found the man, identified as John Doe and believed to be in his 20s, wearing a mask and gloves with a gunshot wound to the head.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene. No other people were inside the house. Small said the shooting is being investigated as a homicide.
Investigators believe the incident is connected to narcotics and drug paraphernalia found throughout the home. A description of the suspect is not yet available.
